What is Gifted?
Gifted is a term, in education, that describes children that have an exceptional ability to learn and reason. They are children that show evidence of high performance capabilities in areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership. They may also be children who show exceptional abilities in certain academic areas such as language arts, mathematics, or science. The children have the potential to achieve at levels significantly above their peers.
