While eligible employees are not required to expressly request unpaid FMLA leave, it is requested that eligible employees who seek an unpaid or paid FMLA leave for any of the qualifying reasons contact the school or department’s secretary or designee to submit a request on the employee’s behalf to the Equity and Compliance Department.
